Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Why Did You Buy That, a personal spending companion provided by JNDN Labs, LLC. By using the app, you agree to these terms.
Using The Service
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
Financial Account Connections
If you connect a financial account, you authorize us and Plaid to access and process the account data you select so the app can provide transaction syncing, categorization, summaries, and insights. You can disconnect accounts or request account deletion. We do not receive or expose your bank login credentials or Plaid access tokens in the iOS app.
Insights Are Informational
The app may generate spending observations using software and AI. These insights are informational only and may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. They are not financial, investment, legal, tax, medical, or mental health advice. You are responsible for decisions you make based on the service.
Acceptable Use
You may not misuse the service, interfere with its security, reverse engineer non-public parts of the service, scrape it at scale, upload unlawful content, or use it to violate someone else's rights.
Availability And Changes
The service may change, pause, or stop at any time. We may add, remove, or modify features as we build the product. We will try to handle changes thoughtfully, especially where user data is involved.
Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and connected data through the app or by emailing us. Deletion removes app records and asks Plaid to remove connected items where applicable, subject to backup windows, security needs, and legal obligations.
Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and uninterrupted operation.
Limitation Of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, JNDN Labs, LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or financial decisions made using the service.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of California, without regard to conflict of law rules, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
